25-07-2011: Information on European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) - public invitation to tender for new projects

As you all know SORAMIC is an open source project where all investigators have the opportunity to run or participate in independent substudies. May be you have already identified one sub study for your department of hospital from the list of our last SORAMIC Newsletter or you even have your own idea for a sub study. However, these sub studies will partly need independent funding, as they are run and organized independently by one or more study sites under the umbrella of the SORAMIC clinical trial. One excellent opportunity to receive EU-funding can be the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST)
The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) has invited scientists from all over the world to submit ideas for establishing scientific networks and to thus take advantage of knowledge transfer on a European level. Hence COST supports the work of such cooperation networks in many ways, for instance by funding of events or by means of travel cost grants.
The next deadline for submission of project ideas is 30 September 2011. For more information please click here:  http://www.cost.eu/participate
Please let us know any time if you have any questions.
